For Open Residency, Duncan Higgins utilised Bloc Projects as a space ‘between the studio and museum’ to further explore how to articulate the on-going responses to the past 14 years of his artistic production carried out in north Russia, in particular the Solovki archipelago and subsequent associated inter-related narrative episodes.
The residency was established to provide insights from visitors ahead of a series of museum exhibitions taking place over the following few years.
