I work as an artist, curator and creative consultant.
As an artist, I work in a range of ways including film, sculpture, text and installation. I have recently released my debut film ‘Dear Dad’, which explores family, relationships, loss and love.
As a curator I work with artists to help them realise exhibitions, as well as working with organisations to devise artistic programmes for both gallery and public settings.
As a creative consultant, I work on a series of independent projects ranging from artist mentoring, organisational consultancy, devising and delivering monitoring and evaluation frameworks and advising on professional development programmes for creatives.
I am currently the Business Development & Strategy Lead at the design studio, Synth, the Founder and Editor of the web platform YAC | Young Artists in Conversation, one of the Race Directors of Pure Peak Grit and the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Our Big Picture.
Prior to that, I was the Curator at Absolutely Cultured, leading on the artistic programme at Humber Street Gallery in Hull, and the Director of the arts organisation, Bloc Projects.
I have also held leadership and management roles at South Yorkshire based charities Active Fusion and Paces.
Going back even further, I was the Co-Founder of the cycling clothing and lifestyle brand Curbar with artist James Clarkson, 1/3 of the curatorial project Basic Channel, Co-Director of the international residency and exhibition programme Picnic Picnic with Pippa Cook and an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University. I was also the Chair of Trustees at Turf Projects, Croydon, and am currently on the advisory board for PINK, Manchester.
That’s about it!
